NOT A TRIAL. AN INTRODUCTION.
The Kickstart is a structured introduction to how TRITAC trains. Six coached sessions over twenty-one days. It begins with a private 1-on-1 with a head coach, followed by five small-group fundamentals classes (typically two per week) where you learn striking, grappling, takedowns, and the foundations of real combative skill.
It is deliberately not unlimited. The point is curation. We show you the system, give you real skills you can use the same week, and let you feel the training center. On day twenty-one, you and a coach sit and decide what comes next. No pressure. No surprise card charges. That decision happens on the mat, not before you walk in.
“You don’t need to fight in a cage to train like a fighter. You need the right system, the right team, and a real first chapter. That’s the whole point of these three weeks.”— MATT BRYERS · FOUNDER · HEAD COACH

- 02Get a text from a coachWithin a few hours, the right coach reaches out — books your 1-on-1 intro and your first fundamentals class.
- 03Walk inLoaner gear is ready. You meet a head coach 1-on-1 for thirty to forty-five minutes. The most important skills, taught privately.
- 04Train the six sessionsFive small-group fundamentals over three weeks. Real skill. Real reps. A coach who knows your name by class two.
SIX THINGS YOU WALK IN WITH.
1-ON-1 INTRO SESSION
Thirty to forty-five minutes with a head coach, privately. The most important skills, taught one-on-one, on day one. Nothing else looks like this.
5 FUNDAMENTALS CLASSES
Small-group sessions, typically twice a week for three weeks. Striking, grappling, takedowns. Real reps, light pressure, partners at your size.
CUSTOM PLAN FROM THE QUIZ
Your six sessions are scheduled around your goals, your honest schedule, and what’s held you back from starting. Not a flyer. A plan.
LOANER GEAR
Gi, shorts, rash guard, mouthguard — sized to you. Don't buy anything until you know you're staying.
COACH CHECK-INS
A head coach checks in after week one and again on day 21. Adjusts your plan. Answers what came up. No clipboard.
THE TRITAC HUB · INCLUDED
Community access, home drills, class notes, and Matt’s video library for the full 21 days — so the work continues between sessions.
FREE TRIALS HAVE A BAD REPUTATION. FAIR.
Most gym “free trials” earn the eye-roll they get. Here’s the side-by-side, so you know exactly what you’re walking into.
SIX SESSIONS, UNPACKED.
Three weeks is intentional. Week one is your private intro and first class. Week two is the work. Week three is where it clicks and you decide what comes next. By day twenty-one you know, in your body and not in a brochure, whether this fits.
1-ON-1 + FIRST CLASS.
- 30–45 min private intro session with a head coach
- Loaner gear sized · locker assigned
- First small-group fundamentals class — technique-only
- Falls, framing, posture — the survival foundations
- Quick check-in: how’s the body, what’s week 2?
TWO CLASSES. REAL REPS.
- Two fundamentals classes on your chosen days
- Strikes, clinch, takedowns — the building blocks
- Partner drills with members at your size and pace
- Coach starts naming corrections by your name
- Hub homework: one short video to lock in what you saw
TWO CLASSES. THE CONVERSATION.
- Final two fundamentals classes — link the pieces together
- Optional first positional rounds (drilled, supervised)
- Day-21 conversation with a head coach
- Day-21 conversation with a head coach about what comes next
- You decide — on the mat, in your shoes, knowing exactly what you’re choosing.
IS THIS THE RIGHT PATH?
The Kickstart works for almost anyone willing to walk in. It works less well for a few specific situations. We’d rather you know up front than figure it out on day three.
- Have wanted to try martial arts for a while and haven’t pulled the trigger
- Are starting over after a long gap and want a way back in
- Tried a chain gym and didn’t love the vibe
- Are a parent who wants to model something for your kids
- Want serious S&C alongside real combative skill
- Have a specific goal (lose weight, compete, defend yourself) and want help getting there
- You're mid-injury and haven't cleared with a PT yet — see them first
- You can’t commit to two sessions a week — the math won’t work
- You want a 30-minute lunchtime class — schedule won’t fit
- You’re looking for a fight-camp-only experience — talk to a coach directly
- You expect a no-contact workout — this isn’t that
- You’re 17 or younger — see our Kids program instead
HOW WE BUILD YOUR PLAN.

We turn those answers into your 1-on-1 booking, your five fundamentals slots, and a coach who’ll text you within a few hours to confirm. Four minutes from your couch, the rest is a Monday.
